Cold canyon

After a drive though the mountains in blizzard conditions, I made it to the Grand Canyon National park. I was cold that day and winter storms came out of the west and dipped into the great canyon.
I was not familiar with how the climate of Arizona was in the winter, or what it meant to be in “high country”. I can honestly say that the winds that day at the Grand Canyon were as bitter and cut as sharp as any of the winter winds in Chicago.
