Be thankful for what you have

Well I am having a beer tonight and wanted to stress the importance of a good family. My mother and father are absolutely the best parents anyone could hope to ask for. My sister is ok too. I want to focus on my father with this post. The man seems to be made of the finest German steel and as tough as leather, also tough on me but fair. Always looking out for me. I grew up in Riverdale, Illinois I was an unsuspecting, naive person with no real rush in growing up. I was and am pretty sensitive emotionally. Anyway, up until 1999 I was pretty happy go lucky. But I guess somehow the outside world and certain people wanted to meddle with me. I won’t go into that anymore in detail. I have changed. I think that life is change. Life would be boring if things did not change, hopefully for the better. But in the end physically and maybe mentally, life may take a turn for the worst. We all have to accept this fact. Humans are typically only here on an average of 80 years.

After I went though my mental tests in life, from 1999-2003, I became bitter, mean and was genuinely upset at what I went through at the design of outsiders of my family. I felt bad, I am sure others felt bad as well. Anyway, as an end result, I know that I and others have nicked my soul a bit. When we go though life we suffer cuts, bruises, bumps and breaks. The physical injuries heal, but sometimes there are scars, and loss or change in function.

I went through an evil period, and have wasted many years. Moral to this post is be thankful for what you have. Family is ment to be the strongest bond. If you can walk, talk, move, see, and feel…those are all small blessings. Find time in your life to be still, relaxed and at ease with yourself and others. Again, typically, humans are only on this earth for 80 years. A blink of an eye when it comes to the universe.

Two things I want to mention. 1) Focus on what you can do not what you cannot. 2) Be happy for what you have, not what you don’t have.
